Sarah Golden is a Houston-born Folk Singer-Songwriter whose soulful storytelling and heartfelt performances have captivated audiences since the release of her debut album Truth in 2002, which garnered her a spot as a Kerrville New Folk semi-finalist. A standout on NBC’s The Voice (Season 2) as a top-36 national finalist on Team CeeLo, and a top-100 finalist on America’s Got Talent (Season 4), Golden has also earned multiple awards, including Best Folk/Roots/Country Song for “The One I Love” and Adult Contemporary Song of the Year for “Who Gives a Damn”.
From a selection of about 150 applicants, Howlin’ Dog Music Group, an organization comprised of Grammy-winning artists and critically acclaimed musicians built upon the idea of a collaboration among people committed to being “a transformative force for positive change”, recently awarded Golden one-of-ten grants designed to uplift independent artists and ensure the sustainability of the music they create.
Known for her rich vocals and meaningful lyrics, Sarah has shared the stage with such distinguished artists as Amy Ray, Shawn Colvin, Susan Gibson, and Ruthie Foster. Her sold out Sessions EP showcases her signature sound and builds anticipation for her forthcoming sophomore album being recorded and produced by Edgewater Music Group.
