Born and raised in Houston, Texas, twenty-five year old Sarah Golden, the youngest of three, grew up in a family surrounded by music. Her brother currently plays the lap steel guitar and many other instruments in a Cajun/Zydeco band from Louisiana named The Bluerunners and a Rockabilly roots-rock band named Sean Reefer and the Resin Valley Boys. Her mother was an opera major and part of the Houston Symphony Choral in addition to being a church choir director and teacher.
Sarah began singing in church and joined school choirs and competitions over time. She is a self taught guitarist who is enjoying her current accomplishments and looking forward to sharing her music with the world. Her songwriting goal is to be able to truly express herself with her music and connect with others through her lyrics. Music is her true passion, and she wants to continue writing songs, reaching as many people as possible, and staying focused on her career.
She has performed at a number of venues such as the Houston Women's Festival, Kerrville Folk Festival- New Folk Competition, Anderson Fair, Travis Cafe, SXSW, Last Concert Cafe, Sidecar Pub, Helios, Hard Rock Cafe, and more. She has shared the stage with a number of highly regarded artists such as Shake Russell, Susan Gibson, Melissa Ferrick, Edie Carey, Terri Hendrix, Lloyd Maines, Trish Murphy, Zoe Lewis, and others. She is grateful for every opportunity to perform and gain experience, and thankful to her many fans and supporters.
