Born and raised in Houston, Texas, twenty year old Sarah Golden, the youngest of three, grew up in a family surrounded by music. Her brother currently plays the lap steel guitar and many other instruments in a Cajun/Zydeco roots band from Louisiana named The Bluerunners. Her mother was in the Houston Symphony Choral and a church choir director, involving all of the family. Sarah began singing in church and joined school choirs and competitions. She is basically a self taught guitarist who is enjoying her current accomplishments and looking forward to learning and improving her skills. Her songwriting goal is to be able to express her thoughts and emotions with her music. She has joyously discovered that through her lyrics and music other people can identify with her feelings. She is very new to the entertainment scene, and wants to continue writing songs, reaching as many people as possible, and staying focused on her career. She recently performed in the Houston Women's Festival, The Next Door Coffeehouse Songwriter Competition, and has played venues such as Anderson Fair, the Travis Cafe, Shakespeare's Coffeehouse, Last Concert Cafe, The Next Door Coffeehouse, Sidecar Pub, Heliotrope and many others. She is grateful for every opportunity to perform and gain experience, and thankful to her many fans and supporters.
