Live Oak Friends Meeting invites you to join us for our 3rd Annual Quaker Peace Festival on Saturday, November 1, 2008. This is an opportunity to learn how to build peace through community awareness and involvement. The festival is a time to bring together the community for a day of fun and fellowship, while providing an opportunity for people to be introduced to organizations and groups that work toward peace and the improvement of the community.
The fesitval starts at 12 Noon and runs until 7pm. The schedule is as follows.
12:00 p.m. Danette’s Young Violinist
12:30 p.m. Storytelling by Jan Barr
1:15 p.m. Las Imagenes Oculpas
2:00 p.m. Revolve Dance Company
2:30 p.m. Free Radicals
3:30 p.m. Revolve Dance Company
4:00 p.m. Earth Run hosted by members of Travesty Dance Group
5:00- 6:00PM SARAH GOLDEN
Peter Greuzmacher will be playing percussion along with Susan Jackson on fiddle. This is scheduled to be a beautiful day, jam-packed with loads of entertainment. Come be at peace- I'LL SEE YOU THERE!
